| SGA,RW Mymains Long Tall Texan, a Silver Classic Tabby, is our first show quality Maine Coon, and helped introduce us to the exhibiting 'community' in 1998. He has been retired from the show circuit (although we keep hearing rumours about 'retiree rings', which we might bring him back out for), and is quite happy to lord it about the house as a 'happy housecat'. | |
| The 1999 show year was very successful
for Tex. He acquired his Supreme Grand Champion title and finished with
2048 points - which places him 191st Internationally, 33rd
within the Maine Coon Breed, and 14th in the Mid-Pacific Region!
He was also the third best Maine Coon Alter in the Mid-Pacific region
for the 1999 show year! Pam showed him in CFA as a premier - so he is also a CFA Champion! |
This picture was taken in December of 1999 when Tex was just under 3 years old. |
These pictures were taken in December of 1999 and Tex is helping us celebrate Christmas. As you can see, he is dressed for the holidays, and quite interested in helping us redecorate the tree! (Everyone is a critic.... ;) |

| Tex ended the 1998 show year with 1107 points. He placed 296th internationally, 27th regionally, and 50th in the Maine Coon breed. All in all, not bad for a couple of novices! |

| 'Unca Tex' was amazingly gentle with Roxie's 1998 litter. The kittens adored him and, amazingly, Roxie was quite content to let them be with him. (Roxie being the kind of mother who, was unable to get to the litter box until we moved it near the kitten box. She would come running back to investigate any kittenish cry.) This picture was taken in mid-December, 1998. |
