Kloshe's Spring Bunny

KLOSHE'S SPRING BUNNY
Jaime's LaPerm

When Spring Bunny arrived, we had little idea what a LaPerm was, really-- but it was NOT a Maine Coon with wavy fur. LaPerms are a new breed, still gaining official acceptance, and a native breed of Oregon. As a breed still developing its gene pool, many different genetic traits are apparent. Spring Bunny is a chocolate-point with white, and his Siamese ancestery apparent in his blue eyes, inpressive cry and more "in your face" personality. The strength of personality of this small cat was almost overpowering to the Maine Coons! He quickly found his place as the kittens' wrestling partner, and shows affection to all the kittens and those cats that have become tolerant of his intensity..

We quickly decided that "Bunny" was not a name we could call this brash, quirky, yet highly affectionate and endearing guy. He soon became "PING!"

The family joke is that Ping is actually his last name. Depending on the circumstances, his first name has been "Hoe" (before meal time), "Prim", "Low", "Hah" and several others we will choose not to post :).
