The Coonpanion Boys

SGC,RW Holdermaine's Mac Tabulous
'Mackie'
Blue Mackerel Tabby

Coming to us from the Holdermaines Cattery in California is Holdermaines Mac Tabulous. He's a gorgeous Blue Mackerel Tabby and will be dramatically altering the look of our cats!

He's a very personable cat who loves to be around people. He is a large cat, although not 'massive'. He just takes up a lot of space.

This picture was shown at the Mid Pacific 2004 Regional Award ceremony - and yes, it is his real tail.

SGA Jemcats Jest Dawg

This Picture was taken in November of 2003, when Dawg was about 1-1/2 years old.

SGA,RW Jemcats Jest Dawg
'Dawg'
Black w/White

No, it's not a Maine Coon having a bad hair day! This is 'Jest Dawg', our Black w/White La Perm.

Most people who know us, know that our daughter Jaime (and to be honest, us as well) were involved in getting the La Perm breed approved for Championship in TICA, 2003 being the first year that they could be shown in the championship class. Indeed, for the first part of the 2003/2004 show year, we brought our black and white La Perm alter to more shows than we showed Maine Coons at!

Jemcats Jest Dawg has been, at least as far as I know, the most successful La Perm shown to date. He championed at the first show he was taken to in May of 2003, and Supremed at the Commencement Cat Club Show in January of 2004.

CH Pinecoon's Obsidian of Coonpanion
'Sid'
Solid Black

Sid came to join us in 2002 from Betsy Tinney of Pinecoon Maine Coons. Obsidian is a solid black Maine Coon and carries dilute - so we get the most interesting colored kittens in his litters!

He championed during the 2002-2003 show year, but was largely overshadowed by his littermate, SGC (RW) Pinecoon's Onyx.

Sid has a very sweet personality. He is outgoing and likes people. He doesn't necessarily like being held all the time, but when he is ready to be petted, he'll come over and drop himself in your lap!

Sid has been retired from our breeding program and is living the life of a happy housecat.

I have posted a copy of his pedigree online.

SaraJen Highlander of Coonpanion

This picture was taken in August of 2001 when Highlander was just 7 months old.

RW Sarajen Highlander of Coonpanion
'Highlander'
Brown Classic Tabby

Highlander came to us from Teri Matzkin of SaraJen Cats. He has turned out to be a *large* boy, weighing in at just under 20 lbs.

We showed Highlander during the 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 show years and used him as our stud cat through 2003. Several of his kittens and grandkittens are still being shown in TICA, and we always get excited hearing about them!

We have since retired him and he has transitioned nicely into a housecat. He has a sweet temperment and loves to be around his people.

I have posted a copy of his pedigree online.

SGA,RW Mymains Long Tall Texan of Coonpanion
'Tex'
Silver Classic Tabby

Tex was our first show quality Maine Coon, and came to us from Val Horton of Mymains. He helped introduce us to the exhibiting 'community' in 1998. He has been retired from the show circuit (although we keep hearing rumours about 'retiree rings', which we might bring him back out for), and is quite happy to lord it about the house as a 'happy housecat'.
