SGA Coonpanion D Dougal McKeller McKie
'Ki'

I'd like to introduce you all to the first Coonpanion-bred cat to Supreme. Less than 2% of all the cats registered with TICA are shown to Supreme, so this was a very, very special event for all of us.

We'd like to thank Buckwheat and Sandy for the care and love that they give our boy, and congratulate them on their success!

Coonpanion Meeko
October 2005

"Meeko is doing fantastic! He runs around like a maniac and adopted my blanket and my chair when he's tuckered out! He's gotten used to the dog and our other cat Raleigh. I think Raleigh thinks he's nuts. He loves a paper sack and a toilet paper roll. He sleeps at my feet at night (yeh!)"

Coonpanion Meeko is living with Brad and Rhonda.

Here is a flash from the past - Coonpanion Scooby Coon!

Scooby Coon lives in Salem with Coonpanions Jake & Princess Belle, Alicia, Pat and family.

Coonpanion Jake
October 2005

Jake just left our house, but has wasted no time in making friends and establishing himself in his new home.

"The baby has taken over the entire house and talk about confident! The first thing Pat said was that he had not been around a kitten before who came into a new situation and immediately had such confidence. He hunkered down for about an hour, after that it was as if he owned the house and he had been here forever!"

"The kitten now plays with the Pomeranian, Scooby was grooming him this morning, and kitty lays next to the German Shepherd unfazed. He is such a social cat! The only issue we have had is that he absolutely attacks our food. We are talking everything from meat, to the kids waffles, potatoes, tortelini noodles, sandwiches, etc. He is frenzied about it. "

"He is really smart too. He figured out the cat door into our laundry room without us showing him how to use it. He has been sleeping on Pats head, and he won Pat over by the second day. Pat even made the comment that he wasn't thrilled about getting another cat, but he really thinks Jake is a cool cat."

Jake lives in Salem with Alicia, Pat and family along with Coonpanion Scooby Coon and Coonpanion Belle.

"He has since been named Radar Love, Radar for short because of his very huge radar ears!

Radar has been so much a part of the family, very entertaining, that we are ready to give him a brother or sister to play with! He has a Jack Russell Terrier brother that he actually chases through the house and then they curl up together when it is nap time."

Coonpanion Thor
August 2005

I actually know for a fact that Coonpanion Thor is *NOT* supposed to sleep in the office.

However, it's been explained to me that the box is not actually part of the office.

He lives with Judy in Portland, Or and is doted on shamelessly.

I've just been fascinated with the colors that Rogue has developed in her coat. I'm glad Michelle keeps sending us updates!

"As usual, being himself......."

And happily living with Oleg and Tonya

They grow so fast.

"Rogue is quite the cuddler, almost as much as Lost is, which gets his nose out of joint from time to time. She completely distroyed the white mouse she adopted so we got her anther fur ball -- this one happens to match her coat -- and she carries it from room to room or stores it in her food dish. She loves to fetch and can't wait to jump into the shower as soon as Brian is finished. She thinks she wants whatever food we're having, and cries most pitifully if we're fixing something in the kitchen, she is absolutely convince that she wants a bite of that banana or brocholi.

Appropriately named, her favorite toys are whatever she can steal from us when we're not looking. And she & Lost teamed up to systematically break into the coffee can where their food is kept and dump it all over the floor."

Coonpanion Rogue lives with Michelle and Brian in Hillsboro, Or.

Coonpanion Zeke and friend
April 2005

"Just wanted to let you know that we are loving having Zeke (formerly known as Robert) around! He is thriving, growing by leaps and bounds, eating us out of house and home and a consistent source of cuddles and entertainment! We almost named him Harley because his purr is so loud."

Coonpanion Zeke is happily residing in Puyallup, Wa.

"Here is a picture of Finnigan and Tiggy napping on the clean laundry. Tiggy has taken to grooming Finn as she reclines against his back. We couldn't  snap the shutter quickly enough to save that one. Tiggy helps me with my  knitting and quilting. I haven't had a feline sewing companion since Becky.
To keep Tiggy from grabbing my knitting, I give her a small remnant of yarn  in a ball. She proudly carries it around the house like a freshly caught  mouse."

Coonpanion Loki
March 2005

Coonpanion Loki "...weighs about 7.5 pounds now (5 months) but eating just isn't his thing. He spends most of his day running around and hates to stop to eat. Just playing and sleeping are all he cares to do."

He lives with Patrick and Linda.

Coonpanion Rogue went off to live with Michelle and Brian - they sent us a 'Rogue Tail' that is very cute. It also is a self-contained file that I can't display here - hopefully you will be able to see it at this link.

Matt wanted a pair of kittens - he lives way out in the country (very, very beautiful out there), had built his own house but is still working in the city - so they needed to be able to entertain each other when he was gone. Coonpanions Tigh and Jasper fit the bill!

"They both play with each other all night long. Some times keeping me up, but when I have guest over they are wondering what the kitties are doing all night. They chase each other all over the house all night long then sleep for most of the day."

Coonpanion Never A Dull Moment
'Montail'
Picture taken February 2005

It was a very difficult decision to place Starbuck (renamed to Coonpanion Never a Dull Moment for show). But the family we placed him with had been waiting for a silver classic for a long, long time, and while we knew he was a great cat, he wasn't a great show cat. Below are some of the comments we received with his picture.

"We had so many surprises as to Montails behavior to later find that his quirks/mannerisms are pretty typical of his breed. (playing with water, carrying his food with his paws to eat it, greeting us at the door when we get home and eating almost all day!)"

"We also did not realize his proportions would be so big. his tail is over 14 inches long. His torso is long as well. We really hope his mane continues to fill out as it has been doing."

We always like hearing about the adventures of our cats and their families. If you have a Coonpanion Cat, please send us pictures! :-) I would prefer pictures in .jpg, .gif or .pcx format.
