Friends and Family
2004

While most Coonpanion kittens go off to 'pet' homes, a few come out and join us on the show circuit. Kie is one of those cats - and currently the most successful showcats we've bred, he currently holds the title of Quadruple Grand Champion in TICA! And his owners are chasing that elusive 'Best Alter' in order get Supreme Grand Champion!

If you've been attending some of the cat shows around the Pacific Northwest, you've already had the opportunity to see QGCA Coonpanion D Dougal McKeller McKie in the Alter rings. For everyone else, here is a picture of Kie relaxing at home.

Kie lives in Portland Oregon with his people Sandy and Don - both of whom belong to our cat club (The New Culture Club) and help us put on the annual Portland Cat Show.

Dear Four legs and a tail family,

Well, another year older, three now I think. Things are cruising along. I don't jump as much as I used to, not so dignified for an "older" fellow. But I think I can say that I still rule the roost. I have made certain that the birds and squirrels out in the yard are tracked. There's the occasional dog, especially a really crazy lady across the street.

But I thought that I had to show that I do spend some time at places other than the bathroom (that last picture was great, but I'm not so sure about the thing I was sitting on).

Anyway, I am also into various handcrafts, like knitting and sewing. I have gotten really good at helping one of my people run the sewing machine. Love watching that thing go up and down, up and down.

Hope all is well there.

Fondly,

Moxie

Luke isn't technically one of ours - Val Horton of Mymains officially bred him, since she is the owner of the Dam. But he's a Highlander son and we are very proud of him!

He is a solid blue, which is a double recessive (solid and dilute) - a very unusual color. He was also living proof to Pam that no matter how many kittens Highlander had already had, he had a 50/50 chance of carrying solid. :D

He's living happily with Shawn in NW Oregon.

Mark wanted a pair of girls so that they could entertain themselves while he was at work. Littermates Leia and Sikora won him over and they are all happily living in Aloha, Or.

This Picture was taken in January of 2004 when Aeryn was 16 months old and Cordelia was 4 months old.

Aeryn Sun and Cordelia are both Coonpanion cats, albeit from different litters almost a year apart! :-)

They are happily living in Beaverton, Oregon with Anne, Mark and their children. Anne has been talking about bringing Cordelia to a show or two - we will see!

CH Coonpanion My Romeo of Cozycoons lives happily in Portland Oregon with Connie and Dick. He championed at his first adult show, but didn't particularly enjoy the experience, so will probably rest on his laurels as a happy housecat.

Connie is a member of our cat club (The New Culture Club) and adoptive auntie of every litter we produce. She was present when Romeo was born and picked him out in the first five minutes of his life! We knew that she wanted a showcat and refused to allow her to commit until we were sure - she never waivered in her determination to get that kitten!

We are very pleased that we will be able to visit Romeo often and watch him mature.

We always like hearing about the adventures of our cats and their families. If you have a Coonpanion Cat, please send us pictures! :-) I would prefer pictures in .jpg, .gif or .pcx format.
